Hiring Immediately National Director of Memory Care and Resident Experience! Multi-site leadership experience required.


Position located in Baltimore, MD and requires extensive travel to communities.


The National Director of Memory Care and Resident Experience is responsible for overseeing all community Resident Engagement Directors, Memory Support Directors, and coordinating all resident engagement and memory care services provided to residents in Elegance Living's 43 communities across 13 states.


  • Train and oversee Senior Resident Engagement and Memory Support Directors (REDs and MSDs) working with Community Staff to perform thorough resident engagement and memory assessments on all new residents upon admission to the community.
  • Set the standards for Resident Engagement (RE) and Memory Support (MS) resident programs to ensure that RE and MS programming platforms are not only effective and current but differentiate Elegance Living from our competition within the industry.
  • Continuously support and encourage team members, residents, and family members the RE and MS philosophy regarding the rationale for, and benefits of, resident engagement.
  • Ensure that the Senior RE and MSD are appropriately selected, trained, mentored, and supported.
  • Design, plan, and implement RE and MS standards, policies, and programs that positively impact the delivery of service to our residents.
  • Serve as Support Center resource for all RE and MS related initiatives.
  • Create and deliver on-going RE and MS training to community staff related to standards, policies, and programs and once implemented are executed effectively and consistently.
  • Perform other duties as assigned or needed.


  • Associate or Bachelor’s Degree strongly preferred in business or a field related to the position.
  • Minimum 5-7 years of experience in gerontology, recreational therapy, healthcare, senior living or dementia care preferred. Must have proven management experience and ability to manage staff.
  • Excellent verbal and written skills, interpersonal and mediation skills, ability to evaluate workers’ performance.
  • Strong working knowledge of employment laws and company regulations.
  • Demonstrate leadership through planning, directing, communicating, and coaching.
